I'm not sorry for pulling up a chair.

Nomaan is the Founder of Orbits, an AI-powered assistant designed to automate the "mental load" of running a home. He recently left his role as Director of Engineering at Super.com—where he led the technical scaling of the all-in-one savings platform—to focus entirely on solving the complex logistics of family life. With a background at Mastercard and a track record of scaling teams from early-stage startups to Fortune 500 giants, Nomaan is now applying high-velocity engineering principles to the home, building Orbits to put schedules, maintenance, and family coordination on autopilot.

01

Stay uncomfortable.

I've always measured myself against who I'll be in five years. If future me isn't impressed by the distance I've covered, I haven't pushed hard enough. I went from pension plans and executive assistants to splitting the cost of a domain name with my cofounder. If I was optimizing for comfort, I would've been satisfied a long time ago. I optimize for impact, and impact isn’t comfortable.

02

Nothing is off the table. Not even you.

Growing up named "Nomaan", you learn pretty quick that nobody 's saving you a seat at the table. But nobody tells you that you can pull up your own chair - so I did. Knock on every door, have every conversation. Genuine connection will open doors that no resume or pedigree ever could. That' s how I approach building a business, and it's how I approach everything else.

03

Never stop learning. Ever.

Be a sponge. Every person you meet knows something you don't. The moment you think you've figured it out is the moment you stop growing. Stay curious, keep absorbing, and never convince yourself you've arrived.

One thing to take away

The leap doesn't get easier the longer you think about it, it gets harder. But conviction is contagious, and people can tell when you mean it. If you’re waiting for permission, it’s time to pull up a chair - don’t be sorry, there’s room.
