I'm not sorry for refusing to let Canada be anything less than excellent.

01

Everyone is an entrepreneur — and I mean that.

Not in the "build the next billion-dollar startup" way. I'm talking about the willingness to take a risk, try something new, push for change, and actually give a damn about the outcome. That instinct doesn't belong to founders. It belongs to anyone who decides to bring it. I think everyone should feel that way about something in their life — and I'm drawn to people who do.

02

Canada is not an afterthought.

It's one of the most diverse, interesting, and budding markets in the world. Brands that get this have a unique opportunity — to test products across essentially every demographic, scale in an affluent and growing country, and build something real. This isn't a stepping stone to the US. The brands we work with know this. The rest of the world should too.

03

Being competitive is good. Stop apologizing for it.

There's a quiet discomfort in Canada with actually wanting to win — and I've never understood it. Wanting to be the best, for your clients, your team, the work itself — that raises everyone's game. I'm not interested in second place, and I don't think you should be either.

One thing to take away

Canada has everything it needs to win globally — talent, diversity, market strength. Now we just need to act like it.
